Tesla hires ex-Nike exec (Electrek)

“Tesla just filled the European role by hiring Willem Haitink, O’Neil CEO and former long-time Nike executive, to lead sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Coming from a long career in the apparel industry, Haitink is an interesting hire for Tesla. For the past 4 years, he was the CEO of the O’Neill group, a sportswear company, and prior to joining O’Neil, he had a 16-year career at Nike. Most recently as General Manager of Converse (a Nike division) for the same market that he will be in charge of at Tesla.”

“The collection comprises of 10 RTW pieces, which incorporate some of Charlotte Olympia’s glamorous signatures, including leopard print, the “Kitty” face and the label’s trademarked spiderweb logo.”

Nike stock struggles (The Street)

“Shares of Nike (NKE – Get Report) have been trading heavy for nearly all of April. The stock’s current struggles began after the close of trade on April 4. Nike fell more than 2.5% that day on what is still the heaviest volume of the month. Since then, the stock has remained below a very heavy layer of supply while dip buyers have remained on the sidelines.”
